Clemson's E.J. Williams to honor late father at Saturday's Military Appreciation Day game

Nov. 28--Clemson freshman wide receiver E.J. Williams will wear No. 39 for Saturday's Military Appreciation Day game to honor his father, Eddie Williams Sr., a U.S. Army veteran who died at age 39.
Eddie Williams served for 18 years and rose to the title of Sergeant First Class. He passed away in 2010 when his son was 8.
Clemson (7-1, 6-1 ACC) plays host 3:30 p.m. Saturday (ABC) to Pitt (5-4, 4-4) in the home finale at Memorial Stadium. It will also be Senior Day.
E.J. Williams, who normally wears No. 6, has played in all eight games for the Tigers. He has 12 catches for 143 yards. He was a standout at Central High School in Phenix City, Alabama, with 84 catches for 1,407 yards and 19 touchdowns during his last two years.
